Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is a Pakistani Writer, Producer, Director, Poet, Lyricist, and actor. Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is mostly known for the dramas written by him. Pyary Afzal, Sadqay Tumharay, and Mery Paas Tum Ho are such dramas that gave a boost to his popularity and fan following.

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar was born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan in 1962. His hometown is Shadbagh Lahore. Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar’s father’s name was Abdul Rehman. He was born in a middle-class family. He always says that writing was in his veins since his childhood. He used to write articles in children’s magazines when he was 11. He studied in Government High School Shadbhag and passed Matric. He also studied B.com and MBA. He says that he is a very educated person.

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar got married to Rubi Naz in the 1980s. He had two children from Rubi, his son Aabi Khan is an Actor, played in Laal Ishq and Kaaf Kangana. Later, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar got married to Rozina Quershi, the ex-wife of Faisal Qureshi. From Rozina, he has two children of his own and two step-children, children of Faisal Qureshi.
Showbiz Career:
Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar was a banker when he wrote his first Drama serial “Dastak Aur Darwaza”. In 1997, he wrote the film “Qarz” and also produced it. He wrote many scripts of dramas and films in the 1990s including “Mukhra Chan Warga”, “Nikki Jee Haan”, “Ghar Kab Aao Gy”, and “Tery Piyar Mein”. Then, he wrote “Boota from Toba Tek Singh” and “Landa Bazar”, which were superhit serials.
After a gap of 4-5 years, after 2011, he is not stopping and writing super hit serials. In the last decade, he wrote many blockbuster dramas including Pyary Afzal, Zara Yaad Kar, Sadqay Tumharay, Mera Naam Yousaf Hai, Muhabat Tum Sy Nafrat Hai, and Mery Paas Tum Ho.
