The International Cricket Council announced all the tournaments and their details which are going to play in this decade. ICC announced the hosts and other details about the tournaments. All the details are given below:
ICC cricket world cups:
There will be three ICC cricket world play between 2022-2031 and are given below:
1- ICC cricket world cup will be played in 2023 in India and will be the 13th edition of the cricket world cup. There will be 10 participants in the tournament. This would be the fourth world cup to be hosted in India.
2- Second ICC cricket world cup of this decade will be played in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. 10 teams will participate and there will be 54 matches of the tournament. Previously, the 2003 world cup was also hosted in South Africa.
3- Third world cup that will be played between 2022-2031 will be hosted by India and Bangladesh. This will be the fourth world to be hosted in India and the first time and Bangladesh. The number of matches will be the same.
ICC champions trophies:
Two champions trophies will be played between 2022-2031. Those are given below:
1- First champions trophy of this decade will be hosted by the defending champions Pakistan.8 teams will be participating in this event. An ICC will be hosted in Pakistan after 29 years.
2- Second champions trophy of this decade will be hosted by India and this is their third hosted event on this list.
ICC T20 world cups:
Five ICC T20 world cups will be played between 2022-2033 and the details are given below:
1- After the delay of the 2021 T20 world cup, the T20 world cup of 2022 will be played on its time. The ICC T20 world cup of 2022 will be hosted by Australia and Newzealand. Australia and Newzealand will host the T20 world cup first time. There will be 20 participants and 55 matches of that t20 world cup.
2- In 2024, the eighth edition of the T20 world cup will be hosted by West Indies and the United States. The first time, ICC event matches will be played in the United States. The participants and the number of matches will be the same.
3- In 2026, the ninth edition of the T20 world cup will be hosted by India and Srilanka.
4- In 2028, the tenth edition of the T20 cricket world cup will be played again in Australia and Newzealand. They will host their 2nd T20 cricket world cup.
5- The eleventh edition of the ICC T20 cricket world cup will be hosted by England, Wales, Ireland, and Scotland. England will host the T20 world cup the second time and this will be the only ICC event played in England between 2022-2031.
