Oman beat Papua New Guinea by 10 wickets in the opening match of the ICC T20 world cup 2021 on their home ground. Today was the first match of the 7th ICC T20 world cup, the match held between Papua New Guinea and Oman in Oman.
In the Emirates Cricket Stadium, hosts Oman wins the toss and decided to bowl first.
Papua New Guinea’s openers went into the ground and tried to handle the game but Oman’s bowlers didn’t give them a single chance and they hardly scored 129 in 20 overs. Captain Asadullah Wala scored 56 Charles Amini scored 37 for PNG. Oman’s bowler Zishan took 4 wickets for just 20 runs.
Oman’s openers came and they handle the game so well that they win the game without losing any wicket. Both openers Jitender Singh and Aqib Ilyas remain unbeaten and scored 73 and 50 respectively. They chased the total in just 14 overs.
