Today, Scotland beat Bangladesh by 6 runs in the 2nd match of ICC T20 world cup 2021. Scotland Bat first and gave a total of 140 runs to Bangladesh. Scotland bowlers performed really well at Al Emirates Cricket Ground and gave a tough time to Bangladesh. Bangladeshi Batsmen who are considered good than many low-rank teams didn’t perform well.
Scotland bowlers didn’t allow them to stay on the crease. They got breakthrough after breakthrough. In the end, they were the better side and were able to defend a small total of 140 runs only.
Chris Grieves was the top scorer of Scotland, he scored 45 runs in 28 balls, whereas, for Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim scored 38. On the bowling side, Mehdi Hassan for Bangladesh took 3 wickets for 19, and Brad Wheal for Scotland took 3 wickets for 24.
This upset the Bangladesh team because they are considered a good team and have also upset Australia this year. The top two teams of round one will get an opportunity to be in the super 12 of the ICC T20 world cup.
