Family and Education:
Hamza Ali Abbasi was born in a Muslima and a Punjabi family in Multan on June 23, 1984. Hamza’s father was an army officer “Major General Mazhar Ali Abbasi” while his mom was associated with the political party “Pakistan’s People Party”. His sister, Doctor Fazila Abbasi is a famous Dermatologist.
He got his early education from the USA and also got a degree of bachelors in International relations from there. Then, he returned to Pakistan and got a Master’s degree from the Quaid e Azam University in the same niche.
He also passed one of Pakistan’s biggest exams “CSS”, and served as a civil officer in the police group. But after some time, he decided to resign from that job because he was passionate about acting and filmmaking.
Showbiz Career:
Hamza Ali Abbasi started his acting career with “Mudhouse and the Golden Doll”, he did theater before it and has appeared in many short films. Hamza Ali Abbasi also worked as an assistant director alongside “Bilal Lashari”.
Hamza appeared in the movie “Waar” in 2013, which gave a boost to his popularity. He played a small role in the cricket film “Main Hoon Shahid Afridi”. After that in 2014, he played a leading role of “Afzal” in the blockbuster drama “Pyary Afzal”, written by Khalil ur Rehan Qamar and directed by “Nadeem Baig”
.In 2015, he played “Salahuddin”, in the drama “Mann Mayal” that was also a super hit and gave a huge popularity and fan base to Hamza.
In 2017, Hum TV made a film in the production of Momina Duraid, and took Hamza Ali Abbasi as the leading role in “Parwaaz Hai Junoon”. The story was based on the life of an Air force officer. Hamza died in the end in a plane crash. The film and Hamza both gained huge popularity after the project.
Hamza Ali Abbasi also signed a project of Bilai Lashari production “The legend of Maula Jatt”, co-starring Mahira Khan and Fawad. The film was delayed due to covid -19 and is still not released. He also voices over Baba Bandooq in the cartoon “Burqa Avenger”.
In 2019, Hamza Ali Abbasi did his latest drama serial “Alif”, in which he played a very unique role. After that Hamza announced that he is quitting showbiz and from now, he will spend most of his time understanding and preaching Islam.
Personal Life:
Hamza Ali Abbasi got married to Naimal Khawar khan in August 2020. Hamza has a son “Muhammad Mustafa Abbasi”. During the last few years, Hamza has almost left acting and started taking interest in religion. He stated that he was converted into an atheist due to the poor guidance about the religion Islam.
He also stated that now, he has returned back to Islam with more firm faith. He also takes part in some religious programs on his own channel on his teacher “Javed Ahmad Ghamidi’s channel”, Ghamidi Center of Islamic Learning.
Political Career:
Hamza’s mother was associated with Pakistan’s People party, so Hamza also had an interest in politics, he remained associated with PPP for a few years in the era of Benazir Bhutto. After he became a huge supporter of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf. He also used to host a talk show on Bol network “Debate HeadQuarter”.
